Nancy is relieved her taxes are ready to go but her back is a little tense. Kelie attaches her TENS unit to help relieve some of the tension. TENS for (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) which are predominately used for nerve related pain conditions (acute and chronic conditions). TENS machines work by sending stimulating pulses across the surface of the skin and along the nerve strands. They are available on Amazon.

Kelie enjoyed the April San Diego North Coast Knitters Guild meeting where the theme was "Vintage Knitting". She especially appreciated the work that went into preparing bags for the guild charity knitting. Her two sons are helping knit scarves for a local woman's shelter. The little scarf kits were lovingly prepared by the guild so it was very easy to start the project.

The Knit Surfers are excited about the new Louisa Harding yarn Noema, the picked out sweaters and cast on together. Nancy is working on Flutterby and Kelie is working on Felicity. They discuss the modifications they are making for their sweaters. Knitting Fever Inc. is hosting a knitalong on the Louisa Harding Lovers Ravelry group for Noema yarn and patterns from April 1 - June 30. Click on the link to see the details and prizes!

Kelie is also working on her Ella tunic, which is coming out beautifully and is a joy to knit with.

Common Threads Knitalong – The pattern is from Knitting Pure & Simple #994 V Neck Neck Down Cardigan for Women, using Noro Kibou is 24% Cotton/34% Wool/12% Silk and has 297 yards in the skein. Nancy is doing 3 different collar options and helping knitters with sizing.

The San Diego Yarn Crawl dates are set. Don't miss out September 17 - 20, 2015!

Kelie is fascinated about the idea of a Master Spinner Certificate from Olds College in Canada. She learned about an author named Mabel Ross and borrowed her book "Essentials of Yarn Design for Handspinners" from the library. It has been an excellent resource for technical spinning. She's working on a Sheep 2 Shoe kit from Blue Moon Fiber arts in the Lapis colorway.
